Longer Tables: Food Insecurity in Britain. A Jake Bishop film.

In 2010, 60,000 food bank packages were handed out in Britain. In 2023, it was 3 Million. Longer Tables follows Rima Sams with her local community kitchen and food bank, Sustenance Food Support as they provide a hot three course meal and a bag of shopping once a week for the community of Hastings and St Leonard’s. Through interviews with volunteers and service users we learn of the hard work, empathy and strength that it takes to not only run a food bank, but use it.
